A b s t r a c t
One of the most pure ways of expression is painting abstractly for me. I love to throw paint around and get all emotions out. Hugely satisfying I can say! Freeing and healing as well. My fascination for bright and vivid colors gets a lot of focus in this way. Experimentation with abstracts is endless. Some of my favorite ways is to paint directly with my hands as well as using a nice rainstorm to create in collaboration with nature.

L i n e w o r k
One of the fastest way of expressing yourself is with pen and paper. In my teenage years I filled a few pages. Then stopped for many years, as I felt intimidated by sketching properly. In the last three years I dedicated some time to it. It is definitely the most intellectual category for me. But I enjoy it exactly for that sometimes. One can see the improvements quite clearly if one practices it. It is like working out in the gym. Those visible improvements make the learning process fun.
You will see that I dedicated „Onelines“ a subcategory. When I was doing the 365 days of posting one artwork a day over on instagram, (I had one third prior on hand of finished paintings and had to create about two third of new paintings and drawings that year.) those Onelines became a beautiful opportunity to create art fast but effective.
This year has been exciting for my linework, as I experimented with layering on paper with Mixed Media.

O i l
The love towards oil painting started later for me. I always held a lot of respect towards it and after creating a very brown painting years back I never tried it again until I saw those beautiful paintings from the fingeroilpainter Iris Scott. I did not know that it was possible to paint oils by using directly the fingers. I gave it a try and fell in love with the sensation. It is the best! Once in your life you have to try! The saturation and pigmentation is more dense and shiny with oils than with acrylic paint. It increases depth to a painting in my opinion. Oil paint is still quite a new medium for me and I feel there is a lot to experiment and learn with it.

A c r y l i c/ M i x e d. M e d i a
Acrylics are my first love. The first years they have been my one and only medium. I adore them for being so versatile and forgiving. And as they dry fast it invites to combine them with other Media. Recently I have enjoyed experimenting mich more with Mixed Media on Canvas, as well as on Paper, which you will see in the Linework section.
Mixed Media has a very intuitive and playful way. It is so satisfying to be a kid again, not hesitate and discover how things work together.
